"Dear Sakari, I have just started your course.  Where have you been before now ?  This course is very good to say the least !!!

I think this course would be excellent for any guitarist, not just classical guitarists.

The information is too important to limit it !!!"

John L. in Ruskin, Florida

Hello Sakari,

"Thank you for the Mastering Music sample lesson.

You are a man of great patience and great clarity in your approach.
I love your approach to the classical guitar.

I think the concept of piece playing you are offering is great.
For those who doubt your method, I would like to say that as an advanced age student (64 year old) who started learning the CG some 7 years ago by studying occasionally and privately with a wonderful teacher  and having attended master classes with the greatest names in the world, I say that your method offers
something unique for those who are willing to invest their time by
following your method rather than the conventional ones."

Guitaristicaly yours,

Ramzi H., Queensland, Australia

"Sakari, A moment ago, I finished sifting through step 1 of your new course and there's only one thing, I can say: "WOW"!

I'm sure it will live up to the standards that I have come to expect, when working with your courses.

Thank You for this One!"
John P., Greetings from Berlin

"Thank you so much for allowing me to view the first lesson in your new course.

There is almost no way to put into words exactly what you teach in this lesson.  It is brilliant!  You are teaching ideas and possibilities that I have never heard of before with
regard to CG.  What a true blessing it is to have met you via the internet and to have benefited from your genius.  I find so much hope in all that you write and send.

May life continue to bless you and may all your hopes and dreams come true!"

Sending my best,
Thomas A., from Ohio

An In-Depth Technical and Musical Analysis
Presented in Staff and Expanded Tab(lature)
Using Up To 8 Tabs Measure By Measure To Notate
Note Locations, Fingering Options On Both Hands Plus
How and Why To Make the Best Choices !

Here's the story.

Classical Guitarists desperately need a Global Positioning
System when it comes learning the music available to them.

A way to position themselves within any piece of music
rather than always trying to figure out how to learn,
memorize and perform pieces consistently and mistake free.

I am asked all the time, "I finished your Disciplines
course.  Now What ? Can you recommend some
pieces I can learn so I don't get sidetracked into
bad habits ?"

Are you at the point in your studies where it would
be really nice to finally work on a piece of music, even a
simple one and learn it, "The Right Way" ?

The first two courses in my trilogy method

"Mastering the Five Disciplines" to
hone your finger skills without ever
reading a note of music and metronomically
proceeding through my unique exercises over
6 phases.

"Mastering the Fretboard" to
learn where the written note is located on the
instrument through my process of pitch
duplication and interpretive techniques.

Now, the first part of my final lesson series in this
Trilogy Method is now available.

"Mastering Your Music" to
learn, memorize and perform any piece of
music by discovering the composer's
musical message and then your own in
a logical four step process using my string-fret-
left and right hand fingering dissemination

In other words, "How To Express Yourself
Musically on The Classical Guitar".

This is the last step in my Trilogy of
online courses which can be followed at the
same time as my other courses due to
my expanded use of Tab(lature) that
no one employs during the teaching process.

It unfolds all the elements of playing measure
by measure by exploring the multiple avenues
of pitch duplication to seek out the most musical

I have also designed it to work in conjunction
with my first two courses so you can now play
music while you spend time mastering the five

Here is the issue you face or will face eventually.

How "do you" go about learning a piece
of classical guitar music ?

Do you have a "solid approach" that
works every time or even have an idea
of what that would be ?

( Some teachers have the student play their
piece backwards, measure by measure.  That
doesn't work. )

Do you feel somewhat lacking in a "real"
direction to take after putting a piece
of music on the music stand ?

Maybe even a little clueless ?

I mean, what do you "do" first ?

Probably what most do....

The traditional approach that many teachers teach.

Here it is in a nutshell.

You start sight reading it ( probably pretty poorly )
in first position ( for as long as possible ) and then,
when the music travels into the upper frets,
you sigh ....and give up.  "Take two aspirin and
I'll see you next week".

But if you're brave, you sight read it over and
over and over ...."hoping" that it will all magically
"sink in".

And, of course, it never really does.

Or begin the long, frustrating process of
figuring out where those pesky notes
above the 7th fret are "really" located and
trying to hunt and peck your way up in the 9th fret
region hoping to land on the right note that is also
located on three other string-fret locations.

If you have been playing for years now, can you
read a piece of music, without looking at your guitar,
and instantly visualize the 3 or 4 locations for
each pitch written on the page ?

And visualize the multiple string - fret fingering
combinations available to choose from ?

And what about choosing from the various
locations to play the same notes on the
fret board ?  Which ones and why ?

How long have you been sight reading the
first 15 measures of 4 or 5 of your favorite pieces
every day only to give up and stop until the next day ?

And what about "Doing" something to make
the music interesting to the listener ( and
yourself ) after the usual arduous task of note
learning ?  This one is the most lacking
skill for players at any level.

Some spend years at this process and still
struggle with playing pieces mistake free
despite finally learning the note locations.

There is a reason for these unfortunate
but common tar pits.

It can feel overwhelming, even to the advanced

I can show you "exactly" how to turn even the
simplest piece of music into a towering
example of interpretive mastery...

Using My Four Simple Critical Steps and my
expanded use of Tab(lature).

The new lesson series that I am introducing
today is designed to effectively guide
you through the seemingly endless
string-fret choices available to the guitarist
and how to make interpretive choices
to bring out the musical elements successfully.

And cut the total learning curve time by teaching
you how to choose the best fret and string combinations.

Not the easiest....but the "Best", so that you
and your listeners can be totally captivated
by your playing.

The classical guitar offers a wide range of
profound insights into the world of, what I
call, sonic poetry.

It's what draws us all to the instrument.

When one thinks about all the various instruments
available to the musician, there are very few
that have the intimate dynamic and tonal range
that the CG has. instrument that one can play to "express" one's
feelings and moods is what "really" draws us all in,
not so much one that reproduces so many notes
on the written page in perfect time like some
player piano.

I am offering my process, for the first time, that does just that
using what I call Sakari's Poetics, a procedure of uncovering
the inner soul of a composition, exploring what is
the beginning, middle and end of a composition's
message and choosing the best string, fret and interpretive
tools to express not only the composer's ideas but
yours as well.

In other words, how to take a bunch of notes on the page
and turn them into a profound insight into the soul of the
composer and therefore yourself.

Carving that universal connection between us all, through the
portal of the classical guitar, with what we call "music".

There are Four critical steps in this process and they must
be followed, In Order, every time you start work on
a new piece of music.  If you don't, you Will miss out on
some the most exciting musical opportunities that you
can imagine.

If you don't break down these four elements into their
respective groups, you will simply become overloaded
and frustrated.

It's a logical process of analysis that takes all the
mystery out of choosing between the endless
combinations of strings and frets with multiple left and
right hand fingering choices.

I also explore the tonal variations of the melody line, the
inner voice line and the bass lines demonstrating
the Beginner's, Intermediate's and Advanced player's

Then I sift and distill them all down to a final choice and
teach how to assign fingerings to them and why.

So join me with the First Lesson on the journey into yourself,
through your guitar, with a simple, but profound, piece of
music written during the Renaissance period that just
might start you on a new mission in life.

I'll break down the composition measure by measure, note by note
and show you how to solve the mystery of it's powerful message
in a process of understanding the composer's musical clues.

I'll turn this seemingly basic piece that has fallen by the
wayside into a philosophical poem that will have you
captivated every time you play it.

And...I'll present this fascinating analysis both in standard
music staff notation and in Tab(lature) just in case your note
reading skills aren't quite up to snuff AND present right and
left hand fingering choices in my expanded use of
Tab(lature) measure by measure.

An easy to follow "Road Map" to playing classical guitar

So beginners, do not be afraid of what you do not know yet.

Straight off, the opening chord my selected piece can be played
in 7 different locations and string combinations.

Same exact pitches....7 locations !

( On the piano there would be only one )

Which one do you choose.....and why ?

And how does the second measure influence your decision ?

What clues do the next four measures contain that reveal
the composition's intent and how to interpret them when
choosing string and fret.

Each piece of music has clues that you must find and interpret
in order to bring it to life.

Four Critical Steps.  When you use them properly, you can
transform any piece of music into a captivating and profoundly
interesting performance experience.

Alone, for your own enjoyment or in front of an audience.

I'll show you how to lead a horse to water AND make it drink.

Plus, my process will ensure memorization on all levels, including
playing with consistent right hand fingerings every time you play
so mistakes are eliminated.

How long have been hoping for that if you have been playing
for a while ?

Just you, your guitar, your soul and in this case study,
71 measures of pure musical expression.

I spend 24 pages just on the first 10 measures taking you
through many choices and then present my Edition
of which fret and strings I chose when preparing this piece.

I'll give you the printed music with blank Tab(lature)
lines so you can experiment with the choices that appeal
to you.  Print them out and go to work !

You may know this piece, you may not.  Doesn't matter.

It's all about ....finding the clues the composer's
creative spirit with yours and re-discovering yourself,
not only getting lost in the music but becoming a consumate
story teller as the same time.

It is "The Ultimate GPS" for every classical guitarist any
level of play.  If you are a beginner to all this, you will
take this and discover what drew you to the guitar.  If
you're an advanced player, you just might find the key
to what you've been missing out on all these years.

How to take even a relatively simple piece of music and turn
it into a magnificent statement of timelessness to enjoy
over and over.

Join me and turn your dream into a satisfying experience
that will grab you from the pit of your stomach to the
depths of your soul.
